Christmas Day

Christmas Eve we got the living room ready for Santa to come. We hung the stockings, and according to the boys' directions, we could not make a fire....we didn't want to burn Santa! At the last minute, Luke got very concerned that our fireplace opening was too small. He said Santa wouldn't be able to fit through. I reassured him that Santa was magic and could make it in and he seemed to accept that.
We got the cookies, milk, and letters all set. There is a cookie that each boy made. Mommy helped write the letters to Santa, and we laid them out.

Grandma and Grandpa Fish gave us these jammies so we could sleep in them tonight. We had to take a quick picture and then up to bed. It was very hard to go to sleep with the excitement. When we kept reminding the boys that Santa would skip our house if they weren't sleeping, they finally gave it up.

Here are the boys getting their first glance at the presents under the tree. Santa tried something new this year. Each boy had his own pile and then there was a pile to all three boys to share. Santa hoped this would cut down on the fighting...that remains to be seen.

Each boy got a semi trailer that holds Matchbox cars. They have their names on them so there won't be confusion. Here they are getting started.

Jack is opening a driving mat for their Matchbox cars....very cool!

Luke and Logan each got giant firetrucks and Jack got the rescue helicopter next to him. They've had fun going on rescue missions together.

...And finally...we're done! The boys were so excited they didn't know what to play with first. They bounced from one thing to the next. All in all it was a very Merry Christmas.
