The Detroit Zoo

After having our plans fall through in the past, we finally met up with Tammy today! She got to meet the boys for the first time. Tammy held up even with a walking cast on a broken leg!
I was going to go it alone with the boys, but thankfully at the last minute, Brad decided to go. Wow, did I need him. The highways were crazy with detours and he knows the way around.

Tammy taking a family photo.

Our favorite by far was the Polar Bear Encounter! Here we are in the entrance to 'the tube' that goes under the water through the tank. We got to the zoo early and there was hardly anyone there.

We were looking around and disappointed because we didn't see any bears swimming. Then we looked up and saw one sitting right on the top of the tube! That was very cool!

Brad took turns holding the boys up so they could touch the glass under the bear.

Here's a video of the polar bear. It was worth going to the zoo just for that. Because there was only one other family in the place, we hung out for quite awhile. I would recommend the zoo! We loved seeing Tammy!

Great Grandma's Birthday Party

Great Grandma had a birthday last weekend and Uncle Chad and Aunt Emily hosted a party...with a 1 month old!
We got all the grandchildren and great grandchildren present together for a picture.

Sitting at the bar having our breakfast.

Enjoying seeing family. We're sitting here to calm down and keep out of the way :) It was a very nice time!

Dishwashing Duo!

I went into the kitchen this afternoon to do up the dishes and Logan followed me asking what I was doing. He told me that he wanted to do the dishes. I thought, 'Why not?' Luke soon followed and wanted to do the dishes too. I pulled up the two chairs and demonstrated for them. Off they went...
Logan was 'The Scrubber'.

Luke was 'The Rinser'.
After awhile, to be fair, they decided to switch jobs so that they each had a turn. It was so cute! They're having a ball now, little do they know that they did a good enough job that it's going to be their new chore :)
