Day 2

Git er done day!….longest day of driving of the trip. Wow what a difference a day makes! Feeling so much better and it was smooth sailing. We made it through the rest of Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and into New Mexico. Today was what I wanted the trip to be…spending uninterrupted time with the boys showing them the country they haven’t seen yet. It was so fun. I showed them some of my faves like the Route 66 museum…and they googled and directed me to the Cadillac Ranch…a row of Cadillacs buried half way so they stand up on end. We decided to stop and walk out to them and found we were encouraged to spray paint them…so fun! They also navigated me to a cheesy tourist trap that actually inspired part of Cars the movie. We discovered a feature using Google maps where the voice calls out ‘speed check reported ahead’ …and there would be an officer in the median not far. It wasn’t foolproof but it sure helped out the chick with an expired drivers license 😂 Looking forward to picking Brad up at the airport tomorrow so that we’re all  together ❤️
